Hi, I'm Gill.

I've been behind a camera for over 20 years, ever since I picked one up at just 15 years old. What started as a creative hobby quickly became a lifelong passion for storytelling and capturing genuine moments.

I love the little things that often go unnoticed - the nervous smile before the ceremony, a proud parent wiping away a tear, the laughter between friends, and those quiet moments that become some of the most meaningful memories.

My goal is to create films that take you straight back to how your wedding day felt, not just how it looked.

When I'm not filming or editing, you'll usually find me spending time with our family, enjoying time on our little farm, or running our Airbnb properties. We love to keep busy!

Being trusted to capture one of the biggest days of your life is something I'll never take for granted, and I genuinely feel honoured every time a couple chooses us.

Hi, I'm James.

I'm a boilermaker by trade and have spent my career working as a Maintenance Supervisor in the mining industry. While I've loved the challenges and leadership that role has brought, my real passion has become wedding filmmaking.

I originally joined Light the Scene simply to help Gill on wedding days. What started as lending a hand quickly turned into discovering a genuine love for the creative side of filmmaking. Before long, I was hooked.

These days, I'm the one behind our signature cinematic shots. Whether it's setting up the perfect scene, capturing those epic drone moments, or making sure every camera and microphone is in exactly the right place, I love combining technical precision with creativity to create something truly special.

There is nothing more rewarding than handing over a film that allows our couples to relive one of the most important days of their lives, over and over again.
